mxPress WordPress Plugin available to easily create your first Mxit App

If you are a blogger, WordPress user, or simply want to create your first Mxit App without having to do development, have a look at the mxPress plugin that was released on 13 July 2012.

It is a open source (BSD-3 license) project that we have made available to help community based projects and other developers easily and quickly create new Mxit Apps.

To get started, install WordPress, and then read through mxPress Install Steps

Glad to see this is now in the official Wordpress plugin directory at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/mxpress/ -- i've updated the link in our Code Examples page.

Yes @downtempo, the official page is now up on Wordpress.Org and the plugin is now searchable via WordPress itself. This has made the installation process much easier, one can just go to "Plugins" on your WordPress admin console, click on "Add new" and then search for "mxpress". Its the first hit in the results, and you can just click "install" and then "Activate". As easy as that...

We have started development on a feature update to the plugin. Let us know if you or anybody else has any feature requests for the next version.

Kissmetrics integration could be interesting, although that might not be as useful for Wordpress sites as larger, more interactive apps. i've seen the Motribe team using Kissmetrics funnel tracking to great effect.
